WATER BOTTLE: Students are encouraged to keep a water bottle at school for them to refill as needed. This is to ensure they are staying hydrated during the day and are able to better focus during class.
MORNING SNACK: Please send a snack with your student for them to eat after specials.
LABEL EVERYTHING: This may seem like a reminder for younger students but even at 4th grade we have issues with what belongs to who because of the amount of duplicates we get in class. Remember to label your student's belonging.
PEANUT/TREE NUT FREE ENVIRONMENT: Our classroom is a "Peanut and Tree Nut-Free" environment due to severe peanut and tree nut allergies. There are children in the class with severe peanut and tree nut allergies and we cannot have any food with peanuts, peanut butter, or nuts. We want every child to feel safe and to have a positive experience while at school. Some alternatives to peanut butter are: sunflower butter, sesame seed butter, or soy butter.
BIRTHDAYS: Birthdays are celebrated throughout the school year on your child's birthday. Summer birthdays will be celebrated during the month of May. You may send in a non-edible food treat (stickers, special pencils, 8 count box of crayons, bubbles, etc.) for your son'daughter's birthday. Happy Birthday plates and/or napkins are welcomed.
CHANGE IN PICK-UP: If there is a change from your student's usual pick-up please call the school (304) 367-2132 and tell the office staff who will relay the information to me and your student. You may also send a note with the information to school with your student.
